Ultherapy is a US FDA-Approved non-invasive anti-ageing treatment in Singapore that reverses the effects of aging by tightening the skin. By stimulating your body’s natural collagen production capabilities, it gradually tightens and lifts treated skin. This includes areas around the eyebrows, cheek, neck, chin and even on the chest.
With Ultherapy’s visualisation capabilities, you can expect only precision with each shot; visual ultrasound allows doctors to target specific layers of the skin, maximising benefits while minimising potential side effects.

Discomfort is kept to a minimal with topical anaesthesia or nerve blocks.
Patients typically leave immediately with a slightly flushed face that subsides within hours.
Immediate results can usually be seen, but more permanent, progressive tightening is typically seen over several months as more collagen is produced.
No injections. No incisions. The closest thing to non-surgical lifting/tightening.
Ultherapy is a treatment modality that uses high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) for the purpose of deep tissue stimulation. Unlike other energy-based devices such as lasers and IPL which target only superficial layers of the skin, HIFU allows deposition of high energy deep into the subcutaneous tissue of the skin, stimulating collagen production and skin tightening from within.
In fact, HIFU allows treatment of the same layer of tissue as is lifted during surgical facelifts, as well as levels superficial to that, giving a full depth treatment of the skin.
Unlike other HIFU devices, Ultherapy provides ultrasound imaging that allows precise planning and selection of depths for treatment. This precision allows customised treatments that maximise outcomes while reducing potential side effects from incorrectly placed shots of HIFU energy.
As the body ages, skin and its underlying layers lose its elasticity and tautness. Elastin and collagen production is constantly decreasing after the age of 30 and it shows as skin sagging, wrinkling and folds.
Ultherapy utilises micro-focused ultrasound to deliver heat (60 to 70 degrees Celcius) deep into the skin – between 1.5 to 4.5 mm. This causes controlled thermal injury to the subcutaneous tissue that stimulates the healing and rebuilding process. New collagen and elastin synthesis commences, and skin tautness typically improves naturally over 90 days.
Ultherapy can be seen as a gym session for the skin, promoting firmer and healthier tissue from controlled stimulation.
While not a substitute for surgical facelifts, Ultherapy provides one of the closest alternative to non-surgical face lift in Singapore and skin tightening, without the downtime and surgery.
While everyone stands to benefit from deep focused ultrasound treatment, A good Ultherapy® candidate has mild to moderate skin laxity which shows as wrinkling, loss of tissue elasticity and folds. These include a lowered brow, loose skin on the cheeks and neck, sagging under the chin, and lines or wrinkles on the chest.
Ultherapy® produces a gradual, facelift without surgery in Singapore, leaving patients looking refreshed. Ultherapy®, however, is not a replacement for a surgical facelift; for patients who desire more drastic results, or have severe forms of skin laxity, surgery is the recommended option.
Ultherapy® is therefore a great choice for early sagging, as well as an alternative for those not keen for surgery. It is also used in patients who have completed surgery and are keen to optimise or extend the results of a surgical facelift.
Pre-treatment numbing with numbing cream is required and is applied for 40-60 minutes. Patients typically feel a prickly or aching sensation during treatment after numbing.
Full face and neck treatment typically takes 45 to 90 minutes. Focused treatment over specific areas will take a shorter time.
There is no downtime to the procedure. Most patients will experience a slight pinkness to the face that will settle over a few hours. Some patients may also experience a slight swelling after the procedure. Most patients can go back to their daily routine immediately after the procedure.
Side effects with any medical procedure are possible, and a thorough consultation is advised.
Common side effects to treatment include possible mild pain during treatment, slight redness and swelling post-procedure, bruising and a temporary aching sensation after the procedure.
Ultherapy can be viewed as a gym session for the skin – it stimulates and forces regeneration over a period of 3-4 months. This peak in collagen can be appreciated for the subsequent 9 months to a year before a touch-up will be required.
Similar to hitting the gym, more collagen and elastin and muscle are stimulated with each session, ensuring maintenance of the desired outcome. Should you choose to discontinue with treatment in the long run, these levels generally return to baseline, but you should still look better in the long term than you would without having done the procedure.
